I have two of the standard size Chimella draught excluders. I’ve found that they help the rooms stay noticeably warmer and are very effective at reducing movement of cold air down the chimney on windy days.

Fitting and removing them is very easy and the customer service is marvellous.

I have been using them for about 2 years and i used my stomach to reload as I have injured my hand. Big mistake and totally my fault I broke the handle joint. Customer service was amazing and totally refreshing. Although it was obviously my fault and I offered to buy a new part, Customer service just sent me a new part with no cost and the only payment was to spread the good word of how great the Chimella his. What a company.

We bought three Chimella back in 2013 at the London Home building and renovating show. I think it was the launch of the product so I guess we have one of the very first chimellas. We bought one at the show but were so impressed with the results that we bought another two online. We use our fires probably couple of dozen times a year but the rest of the time we have the chimellas inserted and blocking the chimney.
I must say that the chimellas are brilliant and the difference it has made to our house being warm is huge. so much so that when you take them out you really notice the draught.Being a long time user as well it is great to find a product that lasts longer than 5 minutes so hats off to Chimella for such a solid well made bit of kit that really does do what it says on the tin.
It is rare that we really recommend any products to people or write reviews but we recommend Chimella to all our friends and have never had anything heard but praise for this great product.
